Metal stamped parts are manufactured from various materials; consequently, their quality can vary.
Common materials used for metal stamped parts include stainless steel, SECC (electro-galvanized steel sheet), and SGCC (hot-dip galvanized steel sheet). The processing of these parts is relatively straightforward, allowing for efficient, mechanized production. The process begins with material preparation, noting that the specific material selected depends on the product requirements.
Once the material is determined, initial processing-such as milling-is performed. The material's corners and surfaces undergo further processing to ensure they are smooth and level. After this intermediate processing, the material is placed on a layout table, where the design is marked out based on the mold specifications. Next, center-punching and drilling operations are carried out on the marked mold components. Heat treatment is also essential; this typically involves high-temperature heating followed by annealing, after which precision grinding can be performed. Assembly follows the precision grinding stage. This step involves using a stamping press to mount and test the mold, followed by using measuring instruments to verify that the stamped parts meet product standards.
